MESHWORK

MESHWORK is a collective public art series exploring the emotions and experiences that are common to us all but, by nature, cause us to feel isolated. Tapestry looms will be set up in public places, where participants will be invited to share from their own lives, tend to the contributions of others, and co-create fiber art centered on the common experiential themes that connect us all. *

CURRENT THEME: LONGING // WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Think about why it feels so vulnerable to talk about what you want most. Is it because you’re afraid to appear to be lacking something? Are you ashamed to seem ungrateful, incomplete, needy, or weak? Are you afraid that speaking about it will mean you have to go after it? In the past, have you gone after something you desperately wanted and been disappointed?

PARTICIPATE

In the form below, answer the following question: WHAT DO YOU WANT MOST? However unattainable it may seem, be it a general or highly specific desire, dig deep and share an answer that feels true and personal to you.

*In addition to being physically woven into the community artwork, submissions will be anonymously shared below.
